Born and raised in Mexico City, Dr. Shuchleib got his medical degree at the University of Anahuac, Mexico City, all the while he was volunteering with private and public organizations aiding in areas suffering from natural disasters.
He later pursued and completed his residency in New York at the NY Presbyterian/Queens -Weill Cornell Medical College, during his residency, he got recognized as Resident of the Year as well as The Best Teaching Resident. As the years in residency unfolded, Dr. Shuchleib found himself more and more drawn to the laparoscopic surgery world, and particularly to Bariatric surgery. He went on to get his fellowship in UCSF Fresno in Bariatric and General Surgery, his Masters in Science, and currenty working towards his PhD in Health Sciences to further expand his knowledge.
To this day, Dr. Shuchleib has completed an extensive amount of surgeries, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, reflux surgery, gallbladder, appendix, hernias, and more. Currently, Ariel Shuchleib, is a bariatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery techniques at Saint Agnes Care Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in Fresno, California.
Dr. Shuchleib is dedicated to helping patients overcome chronic health conditions, regain confidence, and achieve lifelong well-being.
